- I've been married to my best friend since October of 2008. Writing has always been an outlet for me so what better way to document our life together and share it with our friends and family. I'm more "Pollyanna" than I'd like to admit when it comes to staying positive. My husband epitomizes the "strong and silent" stereotype. We were blessed with a baby girl (Lyla) in March, so that has dominated the topics in which I write. We live in Dallas and manage our circus of a life - an 11-year old fox terrier, Halley, a 2-year old boxer, Brisket Louise, and of course, baby Lyla Reese.
